over 450 MS students,
about 40 PhD students
1983: the first BS degrees in Electrical Engineering were awarded
1992: name of MS program changed to Electrical Engineering
1998: the BS program in Computer Engineering was established
1999: the MS program in Computer Engineering was established
2000: the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering was established
2000: the MS program in Telecommunications was established
2004: celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Department
