ECE 465: Computer Networking Protocols

Course Description:
This course covers the basic principles of computer network protocols and architectures from the application layer down to the network layer, with a focus on Internet protocols. Students will gain an understanding of the inner workings of the Internet.

Who should take the course:
The course is intended for senior-level undergraduate students majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Students should have a background in applied probability (at the level of STAT 346), and computer programming in general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, etc.
