December 9, 2006:
FINAL EXAM:
The final exam is Monday, December 18, 1:30pm-4:15pm. The exam is
comprehensive; it includes material from the entire semester.
As discussed in class, the final exam will consist of two parts:
- Part 1 consists of multiple-choice questions. You will be given
a maximum of one hour to complete the multiple-choice part of the
exam. You may not use books or notes for Part 1. I will provide
the scantron form required for this part. Use of calculators is not
allowed.
- Part 2 consists of problems to be solved. This part is
closed-book, but you will be allowed to use three 8.5 x 11 inch
sheets of notes (both sides). Use of calculators is not allowed.
Office Hours prior to the Final Exam:
Professor Wage will have lots of office hours prior to the final.
Please take advantage of them! If you cannot come during one of these
times, please send an email to make an appointment.
Monday, 12/11: 1:30-2:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm
Tuesday, 12/12: 4:00-6:00pm
Wednesday 12/13: 1:30-2:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm
Thursday, 12/14: 4:00-6:00pm
Friday, 12/15: 4:00-6:00pm
Monday, 12/18: 9:00am-12:00pm
December 1, 2006:
A sample lab final exam has been posted (PDF). Please contact your
TA with any questions.
November 20, 2006:
- There will be no office hours the week of 11/27/06 due to
Prof. Wage's travel schedule. Prof. Gertler will give the
lectures on 11/27 and 11/29.
- There will be a RAT on 11/27/06! The reading assignment is
Sections 7.1-7.3 in the Lathi textbook. Study questions were posted
several weeks ago.
- The RAT on 12/4/06 will be a short survey. The survey questions
are posted here. You will
receive full RAT credit for completing the survey.
- Problem Set 10 has been posted and will be due on 12/6/06 (the
last day of class).
November 6, 2006:
Extra office hours prior to Exam 2:
- Tuesday, November 7, 2006: 11am-12pm, 4pm-6pm.
- Wednesday, November 8, 2006: 11am-12pm, 1:30-2:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm.
October 26, 2006:
Study questions will be posted for all future RATs. Please see the Lecture Materials page for copies of the study
questions.
October 7, 2006:
- Professor Wage will have the following office hours prior to Exam
1. (Note that several extra hours have been added.)
- Monday, October 9, 2006: 4-6pm. (No regular office hours on
Monday due to class holiday.)
- Tuesday, October 10, 2006: 1:00-2:30pm, 4:30-6:00pm (Note Tuesday is
on a Monday class schedule.)
- Wednesday, October 11, 2006: 11am-12pm, 1:00-2:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm.
October 4, 2006:
- Professor Wage will have extra office hours on Friday 10/6 from
4-5pm.
August 30, 2006:
- There is an error in the webpage location published in the ECE 220
information sheet given out on Monday. The correct website is:

Sorry for any inconvenience.
- The room change for the recitation on Thursday is as follows:
ECE 220-301 (recitation, 4:30-5:20pm) is moved to Thompson 113.
- For the students who have not had the prerequisite course ECE 201,
but Dr. Sutton said you could register for ECE 220: you must send
Dr. Sutton and me an email stating that you understand that you are
responsible for learning the Matlab tools necessary for ECE 220 on
your own. Please note that if you do not acquire the Matlab
background for 220 and as a result do not pass ECE 220, you may be
required to go back and take ECE 201. If you have any concerns
about this, please come talk to me during office hours.
