Announcements -- Spring 2007
March 23, 2007
To prepare for class on Tuesday, March 27, you should read Section 4.9
in Lathi's book, and also review the basic mathematics of logarithms
and the trignometric functions tangent and inverse tangent. I will
expect you to be able to do the following without a calculator:
- Find simple quantities such as the following: log10(10000) and
log10(1/1000).
- Find log10(AB) in terms of log10(A) and log10(B).
- Find log10(A/B) in terms of log10(A) and log10(B).
- Be able to plot tan(w) and atan(w).

February 22, 2007
