I've put together a list of possible
papers to use for your final projects. Please don't feel
constrained to pick a paper on the list. I am simply providing the
list as a starting point for your search. Let me know if you're
interested in doing one of the papers. (Only one person per paper, so
the first person who asks for it will get it.)
- 10/24/07:
As announced in class tonight, you have the opportunity to re-do
Problem 4 from Exam 1 in order to earn extra points. I will grade
your take-home solution for Problem 4 on a 35-point scale. Your final
grade for Problem 4 on Exam 1 will be the average of your in-class
score and your take-home score. You may earn up to an extra 5 bonus points
if you write code to verify your solution using Matlab. Please
include both the Matlab and any associate plots and descriptions.
Important: You must turn in your Problem 4 take-home solution by
9am on 10/31 to receive credit. This will allow me to grade them
prior to class on Wednesday evening. You may turn in this take-home
problem by sliding it under my office door, scanning your solution and
emailing it to me, or faxing them to 703-993-1601. I will confirm
receipt via email.
