The
SAF consists of five laboratories: MFL, Nanostructure Processing Lab
(NPL), Semiconductor Characterization Lab (SCL), Neural Engineering
Lab (NeLab) and Biosensors Lab. The five labs are close to each
other, occupying 2000 ft2 in total. The GMU SAF has been
partially supported by NSF within the framework of the Virginia
Partnership for Nanotechnology Education and Workforce
Development, jointly with several other Virginia
Universities and Industry partners. The
GMU SAF leadership coordinates with its participating faculty and
administration at department and university levels and manages
shared-access policy to operate, maintain and develop these
facilities and provide technical support.
