Cryptography and Computer Network Security

Laboratory classes will involve getting familiar with selected implementations of cryptographic algorithms and protocols. Based on this knowledge and your own experiments, you will be asked to solve a set of simple problems, and prepare a short report including answers to questions included in the corresponding instruction. All exercises can be done at home, at your own speed, or in the ECE computing labs.

At least the following programs will be covered in this semester's lab experiments:

Lab 1 - Pretty Good Privacy: Setup : Introduction : Instruction -
full report due by Friday, October 20, 11:59pm.

Lab 2 - CrypTool - Historical Ciphers: Instruction - primary report due by Saturday, November 11, 11:59pm, solutions to bonus tasks can be submitted by Saturday, November 18, 11:59pm.

Lab 3 - RSA (bonus): Instruction - full report due on Sunday, December 17, 11:59pm.
